Understanding Air Quality
Air quality is measured by four main criteria, which our consultants use to evaluate your needs.

| | Air cleanliness (suspended elements, dust)
| | Air composition (oxygen, CO2 and volatile pollutants concentrations) |
Saving Money
Several factors can increase your savings with a ventilation, heating or air-conditioning system:
Energy Source
The chosen energy source must be available at a competitive price.
| Fossil fuels (oil, natural gas, propane, wood)
| | Electricity (heating coils, baseboard heaters, air to air heat pumps, geothermic heat pumps, radiant heating) |
Efficiency of components
Efficiency indices can be used to measure the performance of equipment relative to its energy consumption
| Efficiency of combustion appliances or AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency), normally expressed in percentages of 80% to 98.9%)
| | Seasonal efficiency of air conditioners or SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio), of which the indicator varies from 10 to 17
| | Heating efficiency of heat pumps or HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor), of which the indicator varies from 6.8 to 10 |
Quality of installation
Respect for, and good understanding of the installation standards for your system’s components can improve the performance and lifespan of your system. Moreover, proper installation allows you to fully enjoy the comfort provided by your new system.

Generally speaking, more expensive systems offer better performance than basic systems. However, it is important to check whether or not the investment really fulfills your needs before you make a decision.
